Fix the "You are not authorized to access this page" error

See this sign-in error? Learn the common causes and step-by-step fixes to get back into your company's elvex account.

You try to sign in to elvex and see the message "You are not authorized to access this page." This usually means the email address you used does not match the account your company set up, or your browser is holding on to an old session.

This guide walks you through the most common causes and how to fix them so you can get back to work.

Before you begin

  • Know which email address your company uses for elvex. If you are not sure, ask your elvex admin.

  • If you received an invitation email, keep it handy. It contains the correct sign-in link.

How to fix the error

Try these steps in order. After each step, try signing in again.

  1. Sign in with your company email address. Sign out of elvex, then sign in again with the email address your company uses for elvex. If you have more than one work email (for example, a local office email and a parent company email), try the other one.

  2. Go to the correct address. Navigate directly to app.elvex.ai, or use the link in your invitation email.

  3. Clear the old session. Sign out of elvex, close the browser tab, then clear your browser cookies for elvex and sign in again.

  4. On a phone, use the browser. elvex does not have an app in the App Store or Google Play. Open app.elvex.ai in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android). To add elvex to your home screen, follow the steps in the next section.

  5. Ask your admin to confirm your account. If you still see the message, ask your elvex admin to make sure your account was added to your company's elvex account.
