Attach Resources to a Conversation Using @-Mentions
Adding resources to a conversation — agents, datasources, or spaces — used to require opening a separate menu, dragging and dropping, or clicking through an "Add Resources" modal. For users who think in terms of what they want to reference, not where the button is, this friction slowed things down.
You can now type @ directly in the message composer to attach a resource. It works the same way @-mentions work in tools like Slack or Notion: type @ followed by a few characters, pick from the list that appears, and the resource is attached.

You want to pull in a specific agent mid-conversation without leaving the composer
You're referencing a datasource and want to attach it quickly while typing your message
You want to bring a space into context without opening the resource picker
How It Works
Typing @ at the start of a word in the composer opens a small resource picker anchored near your cursor. As you type more characters, the list filters to matching agents, datasources, and spaces. Selecting a result attaches the resource to your message — the same outcome as using the Add Resources modal or drag-and-drop — and replaces the @query text with the resource's name.
How to Use @-Mentions
Click into the message composer in any conversation.
Type
@followed by the name of the agent, datasource, or space you want to attach.A picker will appear near your cursor showing matching resources.
Click or press Enter to select a result — the resource is attached and the

Common Questions
Does @-mentioning a resource change how the agent responds?
Yes. Attaching a resource gives the agent access to it for that conversation. Attaching an agent delegates work to it; attaching a datasource makes its content available for retrieval; attaching a space brings in the space's context.
Can I attach multiple resources with @-mentions in one message?
Yes. You can type multiple @ mentions in the same message to attach several resources at once.
What if the resource I'm looking for doesn't appear?
The picker searches resources you have access to. If a resource isn't appearing, check that you have permission to access it, or use the Add Resources modal for a broader search.
