Which version of elvex are you using?

elvex has two versions currently in use: elvex Classic and elvex 2.0. This page explains the key differences so you know which docs apply to you

The two versions

elvex Classic

elvex 2.0

The original elvex interface.

Still fully supported. Your organization may be on this version if you have not yet been migrated to 2.0.

The redesigned experience.

Includes Spaces, an upgraded sidebar, and a new context-aware chat input. This is the current version.

How to tell them apart

Check the following three things in your elvex interface:

Feature

elvex Classic

elvex 2.0

Sidebar

Shows Home, Conversations, Datasources and Flows.

Organized into Spaces, Threads, and Resources.

Spaces

Not available. There is no Spaces concept.

Core feature. Spaces are collaborative workspaces for teams and projects.

Chat input

Standard text box. You can type and attach files.

Includes a context strip showing which context (personal, Space, or agent) your conversation starts in. Use the + button to attach agents, datasources, files, or threads.

Quick visual check

Not sure which version you have? Look for these:

  • My Space in the sidebar → you’re on elvex 2.0

  • No Spaces section in the sidebar → you’re on elvex Classic

  • A context label and + button in the chat input → you’re on elvex 2.0

  • A plain text box with no context label → you’re on elvex Classic
