How to Connect Integrations

This guide explains how to enable and manage action integrations in elvex. There are two primary methods to integrate with actions: through your profile settings or using the Actions Dictionary.

The available integrations you see in your profile settings and the Actions Directory are controlled by your company's elvex admins. If you do not see what you're looking for, reach out to have it added.

Connect via Profile Settings

You can manage your integrations directly from your user profile. Connecting via your profile settings gives the following features access to your integration: your elvex home chat, your elvex Slack app, an agent that you build.

  1. Click your profile icon located at the bottom left of the interface.

  2. Click on the Cog icon

  3. Click the Integrations button in the pop-up menu.
    This will take you to your integrations setting page.

  4. Search for the action you want to integrate.

  5. Click the Connect button next to the desired action.

  6. Follow the connection steps.
    The system will cycle you through the necessary authentication and configuration steps. These are controlled by your team, not elvex.

Connect via Actions Dictionary

You can also connect and manage integrations directly within a conversation using the Actions Dictionary. You will only need to connect via the Actions Directory if you are in an agent.

  1. Locate the Actions Dictionary button at the top right of the conversation.
    This is a collapsible button that opens a sidebar.

  2. Click the button to open the sidebar.
    This view shows all actions that are available. A single green connector signals that the integrations has been connected on your personal profile but not in the agent.

  3. Connect to the action through the sidebar settings.
    You can search for and connect to actions directly from this list. Two green symbols indicates the agent has access to the integration.
