Creating your first chart
The simplest way to create a chart is to describe what you want in natural language. elvex handles the data and chart creation for you.
Use your own data
If you have a spreadsheet or data file, drag it into your conversation and ask for the visualization you need:
Example:
Create a bar chart from my sales data showing revenue by product category
elvex will automatically find and use your data to create the visualization.
Ask elvex what chart could be interesting
You can also ask elvex to look at data and suggest potentially impactful charts
Example:
Review this data and suggest a few interesting charts you could make
This is useful when you're not sure what you're looking for.
Let elvex find data
If you don't have data ready, elvex can search the web for current information:
Example:
Look up the US national debt over the last 10 years and create a line chart
elvex will find relevant data and create the chart for you.

Common questions
Can I upload a visual style guide as a datasource?
You cannot upload a visual style as a datasource, but you can define style controls (colors, fonts, backgrounds) in your agent's rules or in a project or in your context to ensure consistent branding across all charts.
How do I create charts in custom agents vs. the Home agent?
In the Home agent, simply type your chart request and elvex will search for data if you don't provide it.
In a custom agent, treat chart creation as a task. Describe the chart and either provide the data or tell the agent where to find it in a connected datasource.
Can I download the data behind a chart?
Yes. Switch to table view to see the underlying data, then you can download it or prompt elvex to create a downloadable table.
