Overview

The elvex Slack integration let's you interact with your assistants directly within your own Slack workspace. This can significantly improve efficiency, foster wide-scale adoption, and facilitate collaboration. Once installed, you can simply mention @elvex in Slack get started.

An elvex Administrator must connect elvex to a Slack workspace for the first time. After that all elvex users will be able to add the elvex app to their own Slack view. Creators can determine if an assistant they create can be accessible in Slack and if so, by whom.

When you @elvex followed by a prompt, you will be asked to select the assistant you feel will best complete your task.

Public Channels

When you prompt elvex in a public channel and select an assistant, elvex's response will be visible to anyone in the channel. See how permissions work for more details.

Private Conversations

To have a private conversations with elvex, use the elvex app which will appear under your Slackbot.

Direct Messages

Currently you cannot invite elvex to a direct message between you and others. Changing the direct message group into a private channel would allow elvex to join and members to take advantage of assistants.
