Many teams use more than one account for the same service. A company might have two Slack workspaces, multiple Google Drive accounts, or separate Salesforce instances for different regions. Until now, connecting a second account in elvex would replace the first — leaving you with no way to work across both.
elvex now supports connecting multiple accounts for the same integration. You can add a second (or more) account without losing your existing connection, and agents can work across all of them.
You might need this when:
Your team uses separate Salesforce instances for different business units and needs agents to access both
You manage multiple Google Drive accounts — a personal one and a shared team drive — and want agents to reach files in either
Your company has more than one Slack workspace and needs agents to post to channels in both
Before you begin
You must have at least one account already connected for the integration
Your elvex admin must have this feature enabled for your workspace (it is currently behind a feature flag during rollout)
How it works
When you connect an integration, elvex tracks each connected account separately. Each account gets a label so you (and your agents) can tell them apart. When an agent needs to take an action — like reading a file or sending a message — it identifies which account to use based on context, or asks you to clarify if it's ambiguous.
This works for all Paragon-backed integrations, including Salesforce, Slack, Google Drive, Google Sheets, OneDrive, Outlook, SharePoint, Jira, Linear, and others.
How to connect an additional account
Navigate to your profile settings and go to Integrations to see your personal connected integrations
Find the integration you want to add another account for
Click the + icon next to the settings gear on that integration to begin connecting a new account
Follow the authorization flow — you will be prompted to log in to the new account if needed
Once connected, both accounts appear in the integration's account list with labels to distinguish them
Managing connected accounts
From the integration's detail view in your personal integrations page, you can manage all connected accounts:
See all connected accounts and their labels at a glance
Rename an account label to something meaningful (for example, "Marketing Salesforce" vs. "Sales Salesforce")
Disconnect a specific account without affecting the others
Reconnect an account if its credentials have expired
Common questions
How does an agent know which account to use?
elvex uses context from the conversation to determine the most appropriate account. If the intent is ambiguous, the agent will ask you to clarify which account to use before taking action.
What happens to my existing connection when I add a second account?
Your existing connection is preserved. Adding a second account does not replace or disconnect the first.
Can I connect more than two accounts?
Yes. There is no hard limit on the number of accounts you can connect for a single integration.
What's next
Once you have multiple accounts connected, you can configure agents to prefer a specific account for certain tasks, or let the agent determine the right account based on the conversation context. To learn more about giving agents access to integrations, see Giving Agents Access to Integrations.
